Why an ethnographic film? - Pathway of Death or Life...The Genesis
It is a different way to learn about social issues. Until relatively recently, ethnographic research was a tool that was largely confined to anthropology. However, market research, in their eagerness to incorporate new and better research tools that provide findings much more realistically, turned to anthropology and ethnography. In ethnography, the researcher enters the daily lives of consumers, lives with them and knows about their thoughts, motivations and social interactions. Therefore, it is surprising that ethnographies have been gaining ground in the area of market research because they allow the everyday interaction and their environment.

What is ethnography?
Ethnography is the observation and recording of human behavior with specialized anthropological techniques that help to understand what occurs in everyday life. Ethnography discovers and describes the actions of the participants providing the sense and meaning that give them their actions. This methodology involves observation in situ of the actors or participants in their context and allows reflection and profound reality.

Ethnography can read between the lines and interpret the witness's body language, the code of ethics of the assassins, and attitudes and emotions first hand and provide greater connotation of the sociocultural nature to understand in greater depth beliefs, values and traditions of the target market.

The approach

  • Learn and understand more deeply the habits and behavior of child and adolescent assassins, within a social and individual context.
  • Analysis of the child and adolescent assassin's behavior, customs, language, etc.
  • Corroborate closely the actual behavior.
